Designed for the beginner to intermediate adult player, Hockey Destinations is the perfect combination of hockey skills training camp in a vacation setting.

These camps will be offered at some of the most popular vacation spots in the United States. Destinations will include Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas and Honolulu to name a few. At these camps, players will receive state of the art instruction to help elevate their game and allow them to enjoy off time in beautiful surroundings. Players will also receive 12 hours of on ice instruction. This is the equivalent of ice time in shifts over two regular seasons. Jerseys, socks and water bottles will be provided as well as complimentary refreshments after every ice session in the locker room. On Saturday evening players will be treated to a full banquet style dinner.

Some individual skills that will be discussed:

Increase stride length, power and efficiency. Forward and backward strides, explosive starts, crossovers, crossunders, power turns, agility, lateral mobility, speed and acceleration. Develop “soft” hands, effective moves, wide reach, agility and control with the puck. Escape moves and scoring strategies - dekes, tips, rebounds and all shots, Shoot to SCORE.

Typical Destination Camp Schedule

Unless otherwise noted, camps start on Thursday evening and run through Sunday morning/early afternoon. Exact ice times will vary by rink, but the following is a schedule for a typical camp:

Typical Ice Times (6 sessions of 2 hours/session)

  • Thursday: 6:00 to 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 3:30 to 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 3:30 to 5:30 PM
  • Sunday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM

Typical Off-Ice Schedule

  • Thursday: Registration 2 hours before the first skate.

  • Friday and Saturday Afternoon: Between the morning and afternoon skates there will be "chalk talks" with the coaches. In these talks, we will discuss subjects such as game strategy, positioning, special teams and communication. We may also use this time to review and analyze videotape of players executing skills and drills.

  • Saturday Evening: Off ice camp event. This will vary from camp to camp. In some cases such as in Tahoe, The campers, coaching staff and crew will be treated to a two-hour cocktail sunset cruise on the lake. In other locations we will get together for a dinner at a local restaurant. These are great times to celebrate accomplishments and your hard work over the first three days.

  • Sunday: After the final skate there will be a brief wrap up discussion with the coaches and staff to close out the camp.
